Special Nintendo Disk System? - Eronistes - 07-28-2012 06:54 AM

In 1986, Nintendo released a special Disk System peripheral for the NES in Japan. Among its features was a microphone in the controller, which certain games used, including an updated version of the original Zelda. You could only destroy a certain enemy by shouting into the mic.

The enemy you are referring to is a Pols Voice.

Using the microphone you could yell into the mic to alert them. However this was only for those in Japan (or had the Famicom disk system) and was never corrected in the manuals for those outside of Japan
