Gambling - Beardy - 07-27-2012 10:03 AM I just realised that I love gambling. But only in games, where I don't actually win anything in the real world. I've had plenty of poker and brag nights with my buddies... they're a bit boring, to be honest. I get distracted by conversation and drinking and telly and anything, really. Plus, the whole "narrows eyes and tries to psyche out opponent" thing always seems lame when it's a bunch of mates gambling over at most, like... forty quid in total. Is anyone really good at gambling on here? Are there any actual reputable gambling websites? What's better, gambling via the internet (for money), in person (for money) or in-game (for nothing)? RE: Gambling - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 07-27-2012 06:02 PM I like gambling for fun but I don't like the idea of gambling with money. I can understand that gambling is at it's most tense when you have your real money on the line so I don't switch off if I turn on my TV and some professional poker is on. It's hilarious when amateur poker players try to be all subversive. I just pre-select a random emotion for the next hand. That means that there's no way that my emotion is related to the cards RE: Gambling - cingchris - 07-29-2012 08:52 AM I enjoy me some poker and I think I'm decent at it. Personally I think playing poker in real life with people you know for real money is the best, because then the spirit of competition really comes out and no one just get's stupid and goes all in for the hell of it 'cause their actual money is on the line, so you have a real penalty for not taking it seriously. RE: Gambling - Alex - 07-29-2012 09:35 AM sports betting is something i do fairly regularly. love a good trip to the casino from time to time as well. never for huge sums of money though, like at the casino i won't spend more than twenty quid in one night. RE: Gambling - Zaliphone - 07-29-2012 10:24 AM I never really gamble for money, I just use the poker chips and play something something like Texas Hold'em with my dad every now and then. Simple fun, really. RE: Gambling - Nuudoru - 07-29-2012 08:34 PM In the end I always hate gambling because I was born with the worst luck ever. :| RE: Gambling - Melirune - 07-31-2012 08:06 AM Poker eh? When playing poker with friends (works best if all guys), pretend that it's strip poker (just you). Every time you lose a hand, take off a piece of clothing. Eventually your friends will clue in and will start folding more often. Pure profit. RE: Gambling - Sirion - 07-31-2012 03:10 PM Why I never heard about gambling in Magic: The Gathering or Pokémon TCG? Besides decks or rare cards, I mean. |
