Gaming recommendations - Beardy - 07-27-2012 07:02 AM

I completed Fallout New Vegas yonks ago. I'm considering getting some DLC for it, since I have a hankering for some more. Any recommendations? Or are they all crap, and I should just play it through again from the start and do it all differently?

There is one that won DLC of the year at gametrailers.

It was called "Old World Blues".

Fallout New Vegas Ultimate edition was on the Steam Summer sale for like 10 bucks in the states but now it is like 40 bucks now.

I'm in the mood for a simple, brainless FPS, preferably to download off XBLA, but if not then fair enough. Any recommendations? Only really after the single-player element here.

I just died a little inside.

Unreal Tournament tends to be pretty brainless. Just run and shoot and do so quicker than the opponents.

EDIT - Also UR3 has somewhat of a 1-player storyline.

I'm actually going to sticky this thread as a general recommendation thread.

This is a good idea.

Well, if any of you guys have an original xbox and find some of these games for, say 5 bucks, get it.

Phantom Crash (Fun little mech game, shoot guy, upgrade your mech, and it's fun all round, it runs smoothly too)

Jet Set Radio Future (Graffitti, roller skates, great ost, pretty cool for a cel-shaded game)

The Warriors (First game that came from a movie that was good, seriously the controls are good, the story adds on from the movie, the beat-em up style works well, and it's fun all round)

Anyone here dig PS1 RPGs? There's a great one that's pretty underrated and unknown called Legend of Legaia. Here's a vid:

I suggest getting MechAssault and MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf, they're awesome mech fighting games.

I keep meaning to mention I Am Alive, but always forget. It's a very good game with a very unsatisfying plot. I'd still recommend it, it was a proper nail-biter at times.

For those into turn based JRPG's but Lost Odyssey on the 360, It's by far the best JRPG of this generation and my opinion it's the best I've ever played. The game is just perfect in nearly very way and it's dirt cheap!

IIIIIIIIIIII would like to play a Wii game.
So what would you guys and madams recommend? I've played all the big name Wii games. But are there any hidden gems that I could've missed out on?
(I'll tell you if I've played it)
