In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red/Blue Rescue Team, and again in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, your partner can have one of two completely different scripts depending on what species you chose for them.

Is it dependent on whether or not it's female? It seems to be the case, judging by the partners.

Normally, it's because of differences in character - but here it seems rather superfluous to change that dialog between characters in my opinion.

Not hating, though Big Grin

If I remember correctly, in PMD1, it is based on gender, but in PMD2, you can get the alternate script with the same gender partner, and it is only determined by the species.

doesn't pokemon mystery dungeon look a lot like the world "N" was dreaming about in pokemon black and white?

The Japanese version of Pokemon Blue was originally an exclusive with CoroCoro Magazine when it was originally released in 1996. It wasn't until 1999 that the game had a full retail release in that region.

There is a list of the english prototype names of the FirstGen Pokémon. For example Jigglypuff originally has the name 'Pudding'.

Woah woah woah, hold on a second. I hate to beat a dead horse, but when I posted the thing about recolors, I didn't mean anything about any game being inferior. I was just saying it was interesting. And the CAP Locks were to emphasis, show the most obvious one.

Theres a tree on the east side of Pokestar studios that can be surfed in.

Wooper can learn ice punch.

Anorith gets slower when it evolves.

It is implied in-game that Mew gave birth to Mewtwo.

Hoothoot's japanese name is Ho-oh, the english name of the legendary Pokemon from Gold.

Humans have been transformed into Pokemon at least twice in-game; Bill in the originals and their remakes, and a boy woke up as a Kadabra one day, according to a Pokedex entry of which I'll find later.

Poliwrath was originally fat and had a crown. The crown was most likely the basis of the King's Rock used to evolve it.

Wooper can learn ice punch.

It didn't come across that way in the post did it? I didn't mean it to.

I'll definitely mention this in a video. Ties in pretty well with the fishing in statues glitch.

Replies in bold.

When you first meet him at his house he's a Pokemon. You need to transform him back into a human.

Ekans is Snake backwards.

Arbok is Kobra backwards.

Rotom is Motor backwards.

Muk is... well, I'll let you figure that one out.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team there's a little change for Munchlax appearing in the Pokémon Square. Munchlax is hungry and asks for food. If you give him a huge apple, he will eat it and reward you with a Munch Belt. You can't have him on your team unless you hack.

Video

From Bulbapedia: This is the game that features the most Pokémon in a generation that has not been released at the time with 5. There are statues of Weavile, Bonsly, Mime Jr. and Lucario, as well as Munchlax, who is an NPC in the game.

There are a variety of references to Pulseman, a game for the Sega Megadrive, in the later Pokemon games

The Pikachu evolutionary line's signature move, Volt Tackle is derived from one of Pulseman's moves, Volteccer. Pikachu's Final Smash in Brawl operates similarly to this attack.

A portion of Barry's theme in Diamond/Pearl bears a resemblence to a level "Neo Tokyo" in Pulseman's game.

Rotom's design seems to be based off of Pulseman, looking a bit similar and being a ball of lightning.
