I don't think this is too interesting to make it into the main site.

I personally like the Doom 2 reference to Commander Keen.
Or the Doom 2 reference to John Romero with his head on a pike.

How about Commander Keen's "Standard Galactic Alphabet", a cryptic symbolized version of the English language?

The SGA is the same cypher used for the enchanting tables in Minecraft. Smile

Billy Blaze from Commander Keen is related to B.J. Blazkowics from Wolfenstein 3D. He's also related to the Doom guy from the Doom games. All three games were created by id games.

The Doom guy is B.J.'s greatgreatgreatgreatgrandson, and Billy is somewhere in the middle.

Quote:Besides the fact that id Software created both the Commander Keen and
Wolfenstein games, there is a further relationship between the two main
characters. The following is an excerpt from the Official Hint Manual for
Wolfenstein 3D which explains the relation:

William Joseph Blazkowicz was born August 15, 1911, to Polish
immigrants. Blazkowicz was a top spy for the Allied Forces,
receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor and other accolades
for heroism. "B.J.," (as he was called by his friends) married
after World War II, at age 40, to Julia Marie Peterson. Their
son, Arthur Kenneth Blazkowicz, became a television talk show
personality in Milwaukee. For show biz purposes, Arthur changed
his last name to Blaze. Arthur later married Susan Elizabeth
McMichaels. They had one son (which they named after Arthur's
father), William Joseph Blazkowicz II, or as he signs his grade
school homework, B. Blaze....

Well from what I remember on the PC version you can type in "IDDGAF" I believe that is for no-clip so you could go past the Icon of Sin and there would be his head which is what the player is REALLY hitting in that small hit box
