Lather, rinse, repeat games and grindtacular games such as the COD and Battlefield series and WoW. They're soul destroying in my eyes. I suppose I should also mention FIFA *insert year here* too 'cause everybody goes mental about it an' besides... It's football and I'm a Rugby girl haha!

^Beat me to CoD and all those titles. This is precisely why I play classic and retro games exclusively.

Fifa is nothing compared to CoD. Fifa is so mind numbly boring-BS-year released-batwank. CoD you can at least get a few hours maybe from that once random time during the year but Fifa....just no. I agree with you on this, that series is soul destroying.

I wouldn't say COD, just because the general consensus of the gaming community is that those games are garbage, but by a commercial standpoint, it's definitely the most overrated game in history.

For me it would be the Uncharted series. These games get unreal praise, yet I don't find anything particularly special about them. The story and characters are pretty good, but the gameplay I feel is repetitive, boring, and it doesn't do anything innovative at all. The part that bugs me is that the games keep winning awards being titled amazing adventure games, yet there's no adventure in these games outside the fact that the setting take place in different countries.

You had me at batwank. Hahaha! Big Grin

I do have to say, I didn't even finish the last Modern Warfare's campaign I got that bored of it. While COD definitely is an entire staircase up from FIFA, it's not exactly my cup of chai.

It's they hype that kills me. I suppose I possibly understand it if I played online and that' but I always get chewed out an' aint nobody got time for that. Undecided

For me, I would say CoD (after WaW) I liked world at war because they came back to WW2, which historical shooters are one of my favorite genres.
Being a Battlefield veteran, I understand why some of the people here don't like the series. My faves though is 2142 and BF3.
Skyrim for me as well is a bit overrated. I liked playing it. Had a nice story, the gameplay is nice and its a bit simple. But unlike Oblivion, It isn't "largely expansive" for me.
I'm gonna get hated for this, but the NBA series. I really don't understand why it was made. (No offence) and people can just play basketball outside other than playing it in a console.
*gulp* Warcraft 3 (DoTA, not the original game) I'm just don't get why a lot of people like it so much, to a level where they actually bet REAL MONEY into it. And I thought RTS's don't appeal to the cool guys, my ass.
Lastly Mass Effect. I liked 1 and 2 but 3 felt too different for me.
