Nicolas Cage in a movie other than National Treasure. (lol) He is just a stupid actor and has no sense of humor at all. Really just an idiot.

At tumblr they have this thing about fat people being proud over being.. Fat. Holy shit, oh my god, what the fuck, that is so retarded. Being fat is nothing to be proud over you lazy sacks of shit. It's a god damn desease. You don't see people being proud because they have a cold. It's unhealthy to be overweight and with an attitude like that it can only get WORSE.

Keep in mind that I'm fat myself. So this is no "i hate fat people" thing. I just hate that attitude over being overwight.

Dude I know right? I'm so glad I'm not the only one. That shit gets on my nerves so much. And I'm pretty chubby.

I'm not sure what drives people to this kind of behavior... I don't want anyone who's fat to be unhappy - naturally if I had any say, everyone would just be happy - but being obese is unhealthy and you're just in denial when you say you're proud. I'm not sure if you're familiar, but there was a video that gained quite a bit of attention on youtube where some flabby teenaged girl was showing off her nasty fat rolls and stretch marks and going on this obnoxious tirade about how people should be proud of themselves and love who they are no matter what. I'd link if I could find it, but I figured you might be familiar since this was going around on Tumblr a couple months ago and it is related to this.

I don't want to be a debbie downer but honestly I think there's something wrong if you're proud of everything you do. I think it is only intelligent and logical to doubt yourself, or to feel shame. There's a reason for that.

But aside from that - what bothers me? Internet college hipsters who think they have the answers to all of the worlds political debacles because they have attended a couple protests. Oh, and, people who allow themselves to be persuaded into EVERYTHING and think you're uptight because you're not the same way.

Most games by Valve, namely Portal, but also Team Fortress. Half-Life is a maybe, I still enjoy it but it is not as oft-quoted as the others. I love Steam, love what Valve does, but I hate their fans.

I honestly cannot get into Portal. I played it when it came out and by no means will I attempt to refute its status as a highly innovative and groundbreaking game. I think it's an AMAZING experience and one of those milestone titles in gaming history. I just hate what Portal's fans have done to it.

I cannot enjoy the game because of how played out and exhausted its memes and iconography has become. The Glados voice, the companion cube, the blue/orange ovals, the Aperture Science logo, that goddamned "Still Alive" song, and holy hell... the thing with the cake. I hear it and it just annoys me to no end. Catchphrase humor is the absolute worst kind there is, and usually there comes a time when a catchphrase gets so overused (e.g. "Get R Done") that people just drop it by means of social scolding. That doesn't happen with video game culture so these things (and Skyrim's "arrow to the knee" bit, among others) just keep going and going and going.

Anyways, it's sullied a once good game to me.

If you keep hating games because of their fan base, there will barely remain something. Just ignore them and enjoy your games as they should be enjoyed.

I still play Sonic the Hedgehog games, though I hate its majority fanbase too. The Sonic fanbase is mostly just bad character recolors and awkward pornography. Valve's fanbase is just everything constantly rehashed and reheated like crazy. It depends on the extent of how often people just throw crap together to make a "witty reference" that gets me. It's like thinking you're someone special because you've eaten McDonald's before.

Indeed. It's like people (mainly weaboos) who cry about people not liking their game like Touhou, despite not playing it themselves. I play Touhou(hardly) and I ignore the weaboos who ruin the games rep.

The memes like Cake is a Lie is overused and extremely unfunny but that's the internet.
