I'm a writer. I can help a LOT with the story, I can also pitch in a lot of ideas for battle, etc.

(When I mean writer, I don't mean as a job though >_>)

Edit: BY THE WAY, I already got an idea for the story (I'm probably sure the game will be in pixels, so it will fit PERFECTLY)

How many major cliches does it have? It needs at least ALL OF THEM.

All artists should contribute - Just as long as we keep it a similar style it should be fine!

On the other hand, having different art styles for different levels would be quite interesting

I can test it too >_>

I can do an all symphony score like this song I covered
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Izt9vcc_RO4

Or we can do a rocking Metal score
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0DvTvxpdUE

I also have some originals I will post, and some of my Chip tune (old school NES) Songs, I can make a lot of those quickly if we go that route.

I will post some chip tunes tonight as well

Since I work 40+ hrs a week I won't be able to contribute to much else other than music, but I can get tracks out quickly once I know what we are doing./

I like this idea. A lot.

NOW, the big question is, what KIND of game will it be? An RPG? A platformer? An RPG platformer? We have got to choose!

A RPG platformer FPS puzzle game!

I like strange trippy games like yume nikki and lsd dream emulator (but I also like them having stories too). Anything that exercises the mind in more ways than just thinking. An RPG might be a little much, but that's if youre willing to take on a gargantuan project.

I'm...experimenting with music writing. I have LSDJ, and I'm figuring out how to use it.
I also have other writing software, so...perhaps I can be of use as well Smile

A RPG platformer FPS puzzle game!

With action/adventure and arcade elements!

Actually...

Someone mentioned earlier about having different graphic styles for each level/area. Why not have different game mechanics for each as well.

It would be like a character jumping from game world to game world, where each has it's own style and flavor.

With different music styles and everything so that everyone gets their say in at least one zone.

Well my vote is obviously in. Can anybody come up with a gripping, awesome story involving all the above?
If so I will love you forever.
