DYK Tetris DS - PikaPikari - 06-30-2012 07:29 AM

Did you know, the last level of the marathon option of Tetris DS is based off the original Russian Tetris? The backdrop is designed to look like the St. Basil cathedral, and the music is also from the original game.

Here is a really blurry image of when I finished the level (sorry! I'm sure someone can find a better one somewhere):

I thought it was kind of neat. I love tetris!

It's cool but I think it's sort of a given since pretty much every tetris game more or less tries to references to the original Tongue

It's so obvious in fact that it's almost not even a reference as much as it's just a thing in the game series... It's like saying that the sprites shown while playing the game are references to other Nintendo games.

well i'm sorry...like i said this is the only tetris platform game I've ever owned...so I didn't know.

Don't worry. This site is all about learning new facts about video games, so you're just going the right direction.
