Group Memberships? - Beware of Cuccos - 06-29-2012 11:17 PM

What is this for? Do we start groups for our fandoms? And if so, how? If not, what groups are there?

I'm lost. Where do you see anything about group memberships?

When I clicked my username to see how my page looked to everyone else, it was on the left.

I swear to god I'm blind. I can't find it.

Sorry! It's in User CP. My bad!

Oh. Now I can see it. As far as I can see it seems to be an unused feature for now. I have no idea if the admin plans to make any use of it later on.

It would be cool to have groups based on fandoms, and have group chats and discussions. I would totally start a Sims group (and probably be the only member haha) anyway, thanks for responding! I hope your day is awesome Smile

Nah, I'm pretty sure I would join that Sims group.

I was wondering about this group membership thing myself. I'm interested to see what it is (eventually).

Depends on what the admin does with it. Group memberships are usually there to distinguish members from moderators, super moderators and admins. The obvious difference between us regular members and the moderation team are the colors of their names.

Unless someone is special and gets a different color themselves.

A lot of forums don't use them, because it becomes a hassle to moderate them (making sure none of them break the forum rules). But once the site gets going more and we get way more members and a bigger moderation team, I think they would be a nice feature to have. And can be lots of fun.
