...I'm looking through the songs on my MP3 player right now and I'm a bit baffled by all the songs about drugs and hookers I have on it.

My mom raised me on oldies, so that's what dominates my songs list. It's pretty crazy how you grow up and suddenly realize songs like "Killer Queen" are totally about prostitutes. Then of course there's the 60s where ever other song was about some form of drug. It's funny how they managed to keep them so classy back then, though.
