Heh, we live pretty close to each other. That's funny.

But yeah, I'm not going to like it at all. I like looking at it snowing, but I don't like the snow itself.

Blargh.

Instagram announcing their update is nothing special since Facebook does this without telling anyone. Humans are the product of Facebook and your personal information is the currency.

Except that putting personal info on Facebook is already stupid. The only truly personal thing I have on it is a secondary email account that I use for my MMO's and obviously Facebook. I never even talk about personal shit on Facebook because it's a bit pointless to talk about it. I use it for random posts about things going through my head when I'm playing my games or writing. It actually pisses me off to see people unleashing this torrent of personal crap like relationship issues, job issues, school issues, etc. It's annoying. This is why I mainly use Facebook to keep up to date on things like Two Best Friends, TeamFourStar, YugiohAbridged, etc. Personal stuff is boring, anyway.

No it's not. Don't you want to hear my RIVETING tale of me waking up at 7am instead of 8am!? My life sucks!

As for snow....it stopped it. I wish I was in Canada during snow season.

I can just imagine the Daily Mail having a daily feature along the lines of "EVIL IMMIGRANTS STIR HATRED ON FACEBOOK" filled with status updates they bought off Facebook

But... it's winter - YOU NEED SNOW (even in Texas) !
What's the minimum you tend to get ?

Let's see.. I'm 27 and it's snowed three times here my entire life.
-Once when I was really little. I barely remember it.
-The second time on Christmas Eve 2004. We got an inch.
-The third time was December 4th 2009, the day after my 24th birthday. That was the biggest snow we've ever had. It was 3-4 inches!!
*Bonus- Once when I was in elementary school they let us all out for recess early. They gave us all black construction paper because we had flurries (they melted as soon as they touched anything) coming down from the sky. We got to see them hit our papers and got to see real snowflakes for a split second before they melted.
I'll try and find some pictures. It's always a huge deal here when it snows.

Also, please be aware that our "winter" consists of cold fronts. I've had Christmases where I've had to wear a big coat, and some where I have worn tank tops, and everything in-between.

We would do the same thing !! But unfortunately it tended to snow quite heavily so it was really hard to get a single snow flake on its own *Alps world problems*

RE: The Free Thread - A Zombie Riot - 12-20-2012 09:48 AM

So, here I am, yelling at Minecraft because I'm pressing the left trigger to go to sleep (apparently there's a new thing to where you can't sleep if enemy mobs are near you). So I was getting frustrated yelling "SLEEP! GOD DANGIT, SLEEP!!!" And Simon the cat thought I was yelling at him.

Such a silly and (sometimes) dumb cat. Love him to death though.

RE: The Free Thread - cingchris - 12-20-2012 10:01 AM

OH YEAH! Gots me snow day already, due to this storm.

RE: The Free Thread - Ouberry_13 - 12-20-2012 10:10 AM

So, anyone else going to sit on their front porch on the 21st and watch the stupid people dance drunk in the streets?

Hell yeah Simon the cat !
How is he ?

(EDIT - I (and I assume everyone else wants a recent picture of Simon the cat Cool )

Speaking of cats. Dunno if I mentioned it, but my cat was famous online for about 48h. My roomate posted a picture of the cat wearing a reindeer outfit on her Facebook. Someone took that picture and posted it to Reddit. Two captioned pictures and 1.3 million cumulated views later and the cat is know on people's wall.

This was the picture in question

Ah... I remember the good days. Waiting in front of my radio, listening to the list of shut schools. Hearing my schools name. Laughing at the one school that decided to open Sleepy

I'm going to do bugger all different on the 21st. Actually scratch that - I'll slap anyone who mentions the 21st and doomsday to me on the 20th, 21st, or 22nd.

In other news, I totally forgot that there was a new series of Apprentice (the UK version) on TV. I now have 6 episode ready to watch Big Grin

RE: The Free Thread - A Zombie Riot - 12-20-2012 11:18 AM

So, Simon got mad at me for my phone going off.

All I would do if I had the time, would be haphazardly putting piles of clothes all over Madison the night before, and then in the morning run out into the streets yelling "OH MY GOD THE RAPTURE HAPPENED, WE WERE LEFT BEHIND!!!"

I don't think Madison would be best pleased at having clothes thrown all over her.

We got days off if it flooded or if there was a bad hurricane.
