I really should post on this thread more often, I have random things to talk about and nobody on Facebook gives a shit. Including me.
So how about that Dead Island: Riptide trailer? Or Black Ops 2 Zombies?

I think I'm going to start studying martial arts. I may go the jeet kune do route.

I'll be grabbing Borderlands 2 this weekend, finally. You have no idea how much I want to play it.

I hope Dead Rising 2: Off The Record comes tomorrow. I need a game to hold me off for a little bit. I love Skyrim and all, but playing it for 136 hours on this one character is crazy.

I just realized that while my monitor is from a Windows 95 and it's gigantic, (and I don't mean the screen) it's actually pretty damn good because it has a built in mic, speakers, and sub-woofer, that's pretty fucking impressive considering how old this thing is.

Just like your face.

Amirite?

College life is hard.

Your....

Nevermind.

I'll be grabbing Borderlands 1 this weekend, just to see what all this fuss is about (and because it looks so very good)

Cool cool! I was interested in that for a while, but lost interest and took up another martial art. See what it's like after a month and tell me. Big Grin

Are you getting the GOTY edition?

.... yes ? Big Grin

I'll ask them which one has all the DLC, etc.

RE: The Free Thread - A Zombie Riot - 09-21-2012 07:32 AM

Because the GOTY edition is what you want to play.

It's a fun game and I enjoyed playing it by myself. Though, it is a lot more fun to play with friends. That's how I'm playing Borderlands 2. With 3 of my friends, instead of just 1 like I did the first time. So, I should have lots of fun.

The DLC is the shining part of the game though. 75% of the DLC is absolutely fantastic and a complete blast to play. That other 25%.... yeah, it's just tedious. ESPECIALLY if you want to get all the achievements/trophys. You'll probably end up spending at least 15 hours on that DLC just to complete it all. And you think "Oh, 15 hours on a DLC should be GREAT." Yeah, no. The problem with Mad Moxxi is that doing the fights is so boring and you pretty much get NOTHING out of them besides a skill point. You get no XP or anything. Just a skill point.

So, play all the DLC and just pass on Mad Moxxi.

Thanks for that in-depth description !
I tend to just play games for the fun - not really a fan of trophy/achievement chasing so I should be ok Tongue

RE: The Free Thread - A Zombie Riot - 09-21-2012 10:53 AM

Then you will enjoy the game immensely!

RE: The Free Thread - BumblebeeCody - 09-21-2012 11:20 AM

What A Zombie Riot said is pretty much spot on. However, it's not that Moxxies Underdome is bad, it's just a good time waster. It's essentially horde mode for Borderlands so you and 3 of your friends/randomers can constantly take on waves after waves using your new skills and creating strategies to take out enemies. It's not bad, but it's the weakest of the 4 DLC add-ons (though it did give us lockers for storage).

I do want to buy Borderlands 2. I loved Borderlands 1 and played the hell out of it, but this online pass BS is pathetic and I may as well wait for the GOTY edition.
