RE: The Free Thread - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 12-26-2012 11:21 AM

My laptop charger broke today. It's been faffing around for a few days so I ordered a new one that's on its way

Until then - expect less activity from me as I only have internet on my phone and loading forum pages takes a long time

Hope you all had a good day Smile

Well sorry everyone to be that depressing bastard, especially today of all days...but I feel like I just need to tell someone and I don't care who. Today has just been one of those days where I realize just how shitty and worthless a person I really am, I mean hell all I do is just sit on my ass all day, doing nothing of value, and my personality isn't any better, I wasn't even planning on telling my dad merry Christmas today, I only said it 'cause he called me. There's so much shit that I'm ashamed of that I'd rather not speak of, but at the same time knowing all the wrongs in my life, compared to all the things I've done right, I know I deserve any wrongs done to me...even death would be deserved, really. I've seriously thought about suicide before, but that's not the answer, if I'm to die it's not gonna be by my own hand, but rather by someone elses or a stroke of fate. As for why I desided to say this today is because today I started down that depressing spiral and actually got to the point where I was laughing like a madman and my own pathetic self. By the way I'm not looking for pitty of for someone to tell me it's alright, I'll sort this whole thing out myself like always, I mean I've made it this far in life without putting a gun to my head, I can handle this just fine, all I gotta do is just not dwell on it and I'll be fine, the only reason I'm typing this is because I just felt like I had to tell someone. Sorry again for being one depressing bastard, hope I didn't ruin anyone's Christmas.

Meh, Christmas was mostly over for most people. I saw this post the day after Christmas and it didn't ruin my day. I totally understand what you're saying, dude.

It's been 4 (almost 5) years since I graduated from High School. What have I done with my life? Absolutely nothing. Seriously. I don't have a job. I never went to college. All I do is sit here at home with my dad and play video games and be on the computer.

I almost hate the way I've been living. It sucks that I can't get a job a job anywhere though because as it seems, most places only want to hire people with prior job experience. How can I get experience if I never had a job before?

I am going to try my hardest in the near year to change my life around because this is pathetic. Yet I don't hate the way I live, yet I despise the way I live. Sounds confusing, yet it makes perfect sense to me.

I can relate to that. Well, maybe not the "deserves death" part, but otherwise. Speaking of, unless you have killed someone or committed, say, rape, I don't think you deserve it either.

Random question for the Americans - How long does a Doctor Who epidose last on your TVs ?
In the UK, it lasts 1h because there are no adverts on the BBC, so how does that translate to advertising channels ?

I watched The Snowmen last night and it was an hour and 20 minutes. I don't know how long the episode itself is. But normal shows that are like 45 minutes long run an hour on TV due to commercials.

And there were commercials for Doctor Who, obviously. It's weird watching it with commercials after watching 6 seasons and the 5 episodes in season 7 without commercials.

Also, usually if an episode is an hour long, the on the air, the show will run for an hour and a half.

Well TF2 done broked and I can't seem to get it working no matter what I do, so that kinda sucks.
Good news is that I'm likely going to be purchasing a new Gaming PC soon so I can stop using this bloody Mac as my only source of pc games

It's really an accomplishment when you get Kristen Stewart smiling and clapping. Nice!

YAY! I got a new computer, now I can play all those games that I own on steam but my old computer was too crappy to run them.

Edit:I forgot to mention...ALL THESE DOWNLOADS ARE TAKING FOREVER!!! I've been at this since 3:00, it is now 11:00, that's 8 hours and I'm still not even close to done...

RE: The Free Thread - A Zombie Riot - 12-29-2012 04:02 PM

I thought you said "controller" at first. Then I was thinking "How is getting a new controller able to help you play games on your old computer?"

There are several RAMs installed in the controller that stop your GUI from overclocking
