I was listening to Viridian Forest's theme for nostalgia's sake when I recognized a familiar tune.

I wonder if Game Freak scrapped an idea of Team Rocket using Viridian Forest?

There's something similar to this in Pokemon Black/White. The Zekrom and Reshiram battle theme has a part that's a kind of remix of the Route 11 theme. Although it's not as outright as this one.
