A type of book club - Xannidel - 02-12-2013 11:32 PM

So I have been sort of cruising Youtube and I see some channels do book clubs with their subscribers so I want to propose the same question on you guys. Would you like there to be a DYKG book club? The genre of books can also be up for debate as well.

I'd be up for that, though can't say how much free time I have for reading - I've already spent three weeks on my current book and I've only had time to reach chapter three Smile

Well we can always make the due date to finish the book will be like at the end of the month or something like that.

I've not read a non-[pcture book in a long time...or ever. So any ideas on what would be first.

Well I normally read sci-fi/fantasy novels so I have no idea if people want to make this a more nerdy version of a book club or if they want to really want to find books that are more non fictional or something like that. I am always up for suggestions and the like. I don't mind reading something out of my usual reading habits.

I say yes, and I say my book should be the first one to be read!

Synopsis:
Ian Jones, a 19-year-old gamer from a small town of Arlington Heights, Illinois comes in possession of a weird zombie video game which grants him a job as a full-time game tester/developer. There he meets five other colleagues (including one girl), and they all get introduced with a breathtakingly innovative technology-sensory operated gaming platform.
Suddenly, a mysterious and legendary character from the gaming world appears, and at that point it becomes clear that the zombie game is a bit more than just a video game...

Genre: Comedy, Action, Adventure, Mystery... Numerous characters, brand new Zombie theory (they aren't created by a virus, but instead something that affects everybody, it's just a matter of time when they will turn, however two groups of people are more immune, those with OCD approach to gaming and technology and those with no contact with technology)...

Fast paced, easy to read, fun all the way, narrator is sort of an active character, even addresses the readers with witty comments on a few occasions... And the girl from the book is mighty awesome (can't go into details Tongue )

I can even provide you all with the extended version of the sample (more than double in size from the one in my facebook page)

Plus, you would be helping me out... So many reasons to say YES... ^_^

-Lots of words-

Do you like, have a text file at the ready every time you talk about your book or something?

No, I go to my Amazon link and copy the synopsis from there ^_^

Just found it weird that right about the time I joined such a thread pops out... Considered it a "sign" and had to jump in. Can't blame a guy for trying, right?

(now BumblebeeCody comes in and says: "No, but I can ban him!")

No, but I can ban him.

*the plot thickens*

And so we make our own book out of forum posts.

Nah. Only A-hole mods do that.
The trap has been set.

Who will dare write what all of us are thinking? Who will dare temper with the trap. (did I use the word "temper" properly here? I meant "mess around")
