I remember being told that Charizard was in Smash Bros 64. You were supposed to beat arcade mode on Very hard without losing a life using Pikachu, and apparently in the end screen Charizard is supposed to rip the screen open with a slash and challenge you to a fight and you unlock him by beating him.
I could never do it.
