Final Fantasy VIII - Liberi Fatali - AntCGallagher - 01-02-2013 05:58 AM Sorry, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to start a new thread but anyway. Did You Know: The opening theme to Final Fantasy VIII is called Liberi Fatali, which itself is Latin for Children of Fate which describes how the main party are both children and bound to their Fate which involves time paradoxes too complex to try and explain here. However, a more interesting thing to note is that the opening lines of Liberi Fatali go as follows: "Fithos, Lusec, Wecos, Vinosec" which appears to be Latin, like the title, at first but is actually an anagram for "Succession of Witches" (another track in the game) minus 4 letters, this being one of the themes of the game. FURTHERMORE, those 4 letters I talked about earlier are L, O, V and E. Which is another - if not the - central theme of the game. Needless to say, Nobuo Uematsu is a genius. |
