The Mystery Dungeon Series - HyperSonicN1 - 12-19-2012 02:30 AM

Did you know that the Mystery Dungeon series actually exists since 1993 and therefore wasn't created just for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (though it is part of it)?
The first game of this series was called "Torneko no Daibōken: Fushigi no Dungeon" ("Torneko's Great Adventure: Mysterious Dungeon"), which is a Dragon Quest spin-off.
A lot of games in this series are spinoffs either of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Pokemon etc.

I knew this, particularly after playing Shiren the Wanderer for the DS, and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon for Wii.

Did you know that the Mystery Dungeon series was created by Chunsoft, the same team that created Dragon Quest? Though Dragon Quest is usually attributed to Enix, Enix was merely the publisher; Chunsoft was the developer. This explains why the two series share many game resources, especially sound effects.
