Thought it would be nice to point it out. At the Video Game Heroes podium in Donkey Kong Country 2, next to the No Hopers garbage can, you can see Sonic's shoes and Earthworm Jim's ray gun. Seems like Nintendo got tired of Sega making fun of them all the time way back then.
