Random Smash Bros. Melee stuff
1: If you select the Japanese language setting on Smash Bros. Melee then Bowser will be named Koopa and Jigglypuff will be named Purin.
Also if you look at all the trophies in the trophy room on the table, the consoles and games in the background will be changed to their japanese versions.

2: strange trick with Samus. If you repeatedly tap the z button while rotating the d-pad, her grapple beam will more than double in size. You will need to press the z button again when it reaches people to grab them. Not very combat effective but interesting.

Are you saying that when all trophies are collected the consoles change to be their Japanese versions?

Not all trophies are needed. Just go to the Collection option in the trophies.

In the mode where you look at all the trophies together, where they are all displayed on the table, there are nintendo consoles on the shelf in the background. If the language is changed to japanese they change to match the region. Example, the NES is replaced with the japanese famicom system.

The Normal U.S. consoles as displayed normally,

Change it to Japanese and the background looks like this,

Sorry that there is no zoom on the 2nd picture, it's all I could find at the moment.

On the EU version, we don't have the option for Japanese though. It's only US and JPN version.

These are old but confirmed legit. I've done all of the above.
