Super Mario 64 co-op - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 10-26-2012 11:42 AM Well damn, the internet's gone and done it again - Someone's released a two-player version of Super Mario 64. It's exactly the same SM64, but now you're two people playing. Bumblebeecody and I were playing it a short while ago and damn, it's good ! RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - A Zombie Riot - 10-26-2012 11:59 AM How does it work, exactly? RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 10-26-2012 12:07 PM It's a rom that you open with Project 64. Then you go on something called netplay and find someone else to play with. Then bam, you have your game. Great fun RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - Ouberry_13 - 10-26-2012 12:12 PM Meh. As interesting as it sounds, SM64 should stay single player, at least in my opinion. RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - A Zombie Riot - 10-26-2012 12:13 PM Sounds like a lot of fun, actually. But I'm going to pass on this. Sorry, dude. RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 10-26-2012 12:18 PM (10-26-2012 12:13 PM)A Zombie Riot Wrote: Sounds like a lot of fun, actually. Spoiler (Click to View) RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - Xannidel - 10-26-2012 12:30 PM So if one persona has one N64 and another has another N64, do they NEED to play on the same TV? I know people can probably download a ROM for this but I am just curious how that works out. Also I would think that the bosses would get bugged out trying to figure out which Mario to target and what not. Damage, however, is dealt to both players combined. So if the health goes down to zero, both players lose. As for bosses - The first Bomb-Omb level is laughably easy : King Bomb-omb chases the first player, leaving the second player free to pick him up. It's only the first release so perhaps future updates will have AI recognition for both players. RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - BasilZero - 10-26-2012 02:31 PM Saw this in another forum I go to, looking forward to updates since I play with my friend a lot on netplay on SNES. Still trying to work out kinks in the N64 net play D: RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - Beware of Cuccos - 10-26-2012 11:57 PM Seems interesting, although I typically enjoy my one players. I would at least give it a shot if I was able. RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - BumblebeeCody - 10-27-2012 08:28 AM Oh man when you're running up the wooden plank and I'm stuck underneath not being able to see. Such a laugh. .....then it proceeds to freeze. Such a laugh. SM64 Multiplayer, where your worst enemy is the camera angle I introduced a friend who had never played SM64 to the game today. It took us 40 minutes to get to King Bomb-omb RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - Zaliphone - 10-27-2012 10:54 AM I think it looks great. I probably won't play more than a few minutes or more than one play session, but it sounds like great fun. RE: Super Mario 64 co-op - Xannidel - 10-27-2012 01:18 PM I think this would work better on due screens because the camera is sort of close to Mario in certain areas and having TWO Marios would just be over kill. |
