In Borderlands 2 there is a small standart enemy called Varkid that appear in great numbers in some areas, if you leave it alone it can morph into an adult stronger form. This enemy can continue to level up by morphing in this order: adult varkid -> badass varkid -> super badass varkid -> ultimate badass varkid -> Vermivorus the Invincible. Vermivorous is by far the strongest Enemy in the game and also drops a lot of rare & unique loot.

Stronger than Terramorphous The Invincible? Yeah, right.

He his. By one whole level, too.

RE: Borderlands 2 Vermivorous - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 10-04-2012 09:42 PM

I don't think 2K have grasped the meaning of the word "invincible" Tongue

RE: Borderlands 2 Vermivorous - A Zombie Riot - 10-05-2012 01:39 PM

No, they have it right. Unless you're a level 47-50, killing an invincible will either be very hard and time consuming, or just plain impossible.

You try taking on Terramorphaus The Invincible at level 30. You will do like zero damage to him.

In Borderlands 2, one of the vendors in the hub town of Sanctuary named "Crazy Earl" will sometimes say "It's dangerous to go alone, Jerkwad!" when opening up his store interface, a play on the Old Man's line from The Legend of Zelda when Link acquires his first sword.

This is a completely obvious easter egg, this sites already covered the constant use of this phrase before.

It doesn't have to be an Easter Egg to be a DYKG.

I didn't know this, and now I do. Therefore, it's a did you know that made me know, don't you know.

Fair enough. I just thought that since the site likes to go towards more mainstream franchises, this might get picked up.

Borderlands 2 TMNT - BumblebeeCody - 11-02-2012 10:04 PM

I haven't submitted anything in bare time mandemz so:
In Borderlands 2, you are given a quest called "Splinter Group". The objective is to deliver pizza to the sewers.

The 4 enemies you have to kill are also a reference to TMNT.
