Speculations on ME3 ending - Magic McKinley - 09-27-2012 11:48 AM I don't know about you guys but I found this pretty awesome. So I was talking to my mom about the mass effect 3 ending. she never played the game but understood that the endings were basically the same and brought up the topic of pre-determined end. what if mass effect 3's ending was one big metaphor for no matter what you do, you have a pre-determined end and that is how you will go? Time to speculate. RE: Speculations on ME3 ending - Thresh - 10-10-2012 05:39 PM This is a really interesting idea on the ME3 ending. It's great to have these speculations considering there seem to be quite a few plot holes. I personally bought in to the whole "Indoctrination Theory". If you haven't seen it here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ythY_GkEBck I think this was "fixed" by bioware with new free DLC ending, but I haven't personally got around to playing it. So I'll stick with my belief. YAY speculation!!! RE: Speculations on ME3 ending - BumblebeeCody - 10-13-2012 12:58 AM I loved the idea of the Indoctrination Theory. It's incredibly well thought out, but trying to make sense of the ending or give it a hidden depth/meaning is silly. It's just a plain and simple crappy ending with plot holes that didn't make any sense. This is further proved by the extended cut. Bioware made the ending to ME3. That crap ending was THEIR vision. The Mass Relays and your crew being noobs. Hardly anyone liked the ending Bioware made the extended cut to let people understand how they wanted the series to end. Everything that happened in the ending is the true ending with no indoctrination theory. It's just a bad ending. RE: Speculations on ME3 ending - Thresh - 10-14-2012 08:44 AM I really should go and play the Extended Cut eh? How much more does it offer? EDIT: I have had a look at the Extended Cut, and unfortunately it did end the theory, BUT quite frankly I do like the new ending. I am going to need to play ME3 through again (Mabye even another ME2 playthrough). Thanks Bumble for pointing this out to me xD RE: Speculations on ME3 ending - BumblebeeCody - 10-15-2012 08:17 PM (10-14-2012 08:44 AM)Thresh Wrote: I really should go and play the Extended Cut eh? How much more does it offer? The extended cut just expands on the ending. But it doesn't change it to what everyone wanted. I just accept that the game had a bad ending. It happens in media.
