No Japanese festival would be complete without a bunch of masks for the kids to wear. These cheaply made plastic masks come in all varieties, from traditional heroes to the hottest new anime characters. But one of biggest mainstays in the mask market is that monster-fighting cornerstone of pop culture, Ultraman! Ultraman, of course, the silver-skinned, oval eyed hero who, with the aid of a special device, is able to grow to tremendous size to do battle with giant monsters. However, the Earth's toxic atmosphere limits his his transformation to only a few minutes! And of course, the Giant's Mask is a silver, oval eyed device that lets link grow to enormous size to fight a monster, but quickly depletes his mana reserves, limiting his transformation to only a few minutes! |
