At the very beginning on the Ouija board, type "Zaphod Beeblebrox" EXACTLY! You need both words capitalized and the space. You'll hear an echoing voice say "GROOVY!". When you bring the cursor to the corner of the board you'll see chattering teeth, click. Click on the area you want to go to.

While you get this "open house" mode by beating the game, this reference to an AWESOME book series is still too good pass up.

Shivers has these wierd easter eggs too, like the light bulb in one of the tunnels (repeatedly clicking it will cause the character to exclaim 'Ouch! thats hot!") or in the Shamans Room where the Shaman statue says "I like Chinese food" when playing with the drums) i know theres one with the man in the cage and the hangman, but I forgot how to activate them

The difference is that in The 7th Guest when you type this code you will access the "open house" mode where all the rooms are unlocked and all the puzzles are accessible.

It's like I could read your mind from the past!
The game has like 23-25 rooms and equally as many puzzles. One of the first CD games and it had actors play the roles of the guests and everything behind a green screen so while the game has not aged as gracefully as other games, it is still one of my top 5 games ever made because it made such big leaps in computer games for it's time.
