Favorite Indie Games - Tophat Wolf - 09-05-2012 07:39 PM Mine is Cave Story. Sadly I can't play it anymore since my computer has awful screen tearing but anyway the game itself is great and there are a lot of interesting secrets to be found. Also some of the characters are hilarious such as Balrog. RE: Favorite Indie Games - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 09-05-2012 08:05 PM I played through this fine little number called Creeper World about a year ago. Didn't look like much but hell was it fun/addictive RE: Favorite Indie Games - Tophat Wolf - 09-05-2012 08:39 PM (09-05-2012 08:05 PM)SERIOUSLY THOUGH Wrote: I played through this fine little number called Creeper World about a year ago. Didn't look like much but hell was it fun/addictive Played the training sim and enjoyed a little bit of it, but it's not really my favorite genre of video games RE: Favorite Indie Games - Symphony - 09-05-2012 09:18 PM I have a 'thing' for indie games. However, I am really picky about them, thus I haven't played a lot. From those I have, Bastion is by far my favorite. Followed by Snapshot (which I'm in love with right now) and World of Goo. I also tried Cave Story+, but the fact that you'd re-start at you last save point whenever you died (and you died a freaking lot) just pissed me after couple levels. I tried to play Bastion on Chrome one time, sadly my graphics card isn't compatible (my PC sucks ). Also I'm not really sure, but I think they tweaked the physics in Cave Story + RE: Favorite Indie Games - Arjahn - 09-05-2012 09:45 PM RE: Favorite Indie Games - Xannidel - 09-05-2012 09:49 PM Binding of Issac, if any of you have me added on Steam then you will see me on that game constantly and well not as much cause I finally reached platinum god so I just 100% the game. Another one of my favorites is To The Moon, my god is that game beautiful and awesome and sad att he same time. Knytt Stories is another one of my favorites just because the users can develop their own levels. Here is an example of one such level that was popular back in 07-08 or so: Finally Dear Esther (no not the HL2 mod) because while it does not have any gameplay other then walking around and exploring, the music and the locations you visit are so gorgeous they would just make you never want to leave (the cave locations in particular) RE: Favorite Indie Games - Tophat Wolf - 09-05-2012 10:04 PM (09-05-2012 09:45 PM)Arjahn Wrote: I'm not a steam user, but only because of money issues (and crappy PC) and if I was then I would like to have some free low spec games lol. Also I think they are ripping people off with games like Eversion HD, it's just an HD version of a free downloadable game (the HD isn't even a big deal) -_- and you have to frickin' PAY 4,00 € for it! Pay 4,00 € just for HD. What is this "To The Moon" I keep hearing about ? I'm curious RE: Favorite Indie Games - BumblebeeCody - 09-06-2012 10:47 AM Gears of War 3 RE: Favorite Indie Games - Zaliphone - 09-06-2012 11:46 AM I really like Edmund McMillan games. I've unknowingly been a fan of him for a few years. Basically the game is about 2 scientists that go into the memories of a dying old man because his final wish is to go to the moon, the story is just beautiful and deep and the music is really amazing. It has a lot of funny references and stuff like that to break the tension at great times. A must buy for indie lovers who like a good story. RE: Favorite Indie Games - Skarro - 09-06-2012 11:21 PM Minecraft. Don't buy "Home" on steam btw...you basically write the story to solve your own mystery yourself...big let down. RE: Favorite Indie Games - Xannidel - 09-06-2012 11:37 PM Bought it and I thought it was a really nice game, also spoilers for those who have not played it before. |
