Conker similarities to South Park - Berry - 08-26-2012 07:36 AM http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/feature/-/142246 Due to Rare being critisize for it's cute games(Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Kazooie), They made Conker Bad Fur Day, But have you notice anything about it. Well, as it turns out, Conker been inspire by south park. But that is not it. Have you notice the elements. Here is a list. * Conker might have been built around the four kids from south park cause both are innocent looking but the comparison doesn't end there. You see, Conker appearance is built around Kenny(sweater) and mocks the south park tradition of having Kenny die every time in each episode in strange way and come back, so does Conker(you know cause he does die and come back). Conker personality is made around Cartman(conker is greedy and selfish,so is Cartman) and his moral and conscience is made around Stan and Kyle( Stan and kyle are the reason guy, where conker makes some reason on some of his mission) * The great mighty poo takes some element from south park the movie cause the movie does some singing,so does the great mighty poo. And possibility show that the great mighty poo may be inspire by the Mr.Hankey as both are talking and singing poo and also Mr.Hankey may be the inspiration of the boss battle(Chef choclate salty balls) * Conker bad fur day makes parody of films,South Parks kindda does the same thing. * the place that Conker game take place is a bunch of people that has fucked up probelms, South Park town is basically the same thing. * the Hay monster might be inspired by Mecha-Streisand( and yes i know of the terminator parody) as both reveal who they really are and what there goal was. * Most of the mission in Conker Bad Fur day has some twist of genre( ex. Dinosaur theme,Death theme etc.), So does South Park as both takes a problems and turns it huge and confusing. RE: Conker connection to South Park - tveye - 08-27-2012 05:40 AM This is...beyond a stretch RE: Conker connection to South Park - cingchris - 08-27-2012 12:59 PM I'm sorry to say Berry but this is more just you making connections with no hard evidence, while it all makes sense you have nothing from Rare to back up this theory and if you really try hard enough you can connect something to just about anything really, so I don't think this would be a suitable Did You Know. Note: My opinions in no way reflect that of the DYKG staff, (well they might but that'd be purely coincidence) and I am not officially rejecting your submission, I don't have that right, this is just what I think. RE: Conker connection to South Park - Seydou - 08-28-2012 03:33 AM All of these are speculation. You showed comparisons between the game and the series, but no proofs.I agree with cingchris, this seems to not be suitable for DYKG. RE: Conker similarities to South Park - Berry - 08-28-2012 08:40 AM Do you guys ever notice the word "don't you notice the elements" as in thoeries,it just a thoery. And hell, the whole Raticate died in pokemon blue and also luigi supposed shadow suicide thing showed up in DYKG, and there THOERIES. So i still have hopes. Well those are theories that are actually backed up by evidence and taken into account as fanon. Fanon is generally accepted as canon because it logical. Saying that Conker was inspired by South Park has no evidence or even hints whatsoever. You can say Conker was inspired by The Simpsons and it would make just as much sense. |
