DYK that Shinji Mikami has made appearances in his own games.
One of his more recent being in the game Vanquish:
One your fellow soldier names is called S.Mikami

However in the game God Hand he is featured as a dog with the name Mikami's head. The story behind is this, is Mikami stated that he would commit a Harakiri (cut off his head) if RE4 was to ever go to the PS2. It eventually did and thus we have this pooch.

The image also shows a reference to Viewtiful Joe, Dukes of Hazzard, More Cowbell and also has a dog name Amaterasu.
