Guild Wars 2 - Nuudoru - 08-21-2012 09:45 PM
Do anyone else here plan to get into that game?
A friend of mine bought me a pre-order so I can start playing 3 days before release. Since I've never played or read about GW1 my only experience with the game is a 4 hour stress test I did and some light reading on the official site. As things look now I will probably play as a Guardian Human/Charr. Deciding on race is difficult.
If anyone else here is going to play on the EU servers we could probably add eachother on the friendlist once it gets going.

I've never played Guild Wars, nor do I even know what it's about (magicky beasty slashy fantasy I think ?).
I may be tempted to join if I know there are people I know playing it
Will it require a monthly subscription ?

Yeah, you go around fighting dragons (as far as I know) and have gigantic PvP battles.
No monthly subscription.

No monthly sub, there may be a cash shop but that is not important
Guild Wars 1 was fantastic when it came out and I am excited for Guild Wars 2, I pre-purchased I believe so I am unsure if I get the headstart or not. I will more then likely play with my multi-gaming community group but you are more then happy to join us because they will probably be more focused on the WvWvW or whatever it is called while I only care about the PVE/Raids.

I can't play any games like that until I get a new computer, and I don't think that will be anytime soon unless I get a new job. So for the time being, my answer is no. But I wouldn't mind trying it out.

I probably won't be able to play until I get the physical copy and put that code in because Gamestop.com has royally fucked me out of playing early COMPLETELY. The code I got was apparently a "one day headstart code" instead of a 3 day and the people at Guildwars 2 TOLD me this and they did not question it so I am done with Gamestop 100% because this is just utter BS.
Kinda of pissed ATM over a few games crashing/not wanting to work and this is really not helping.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, the pre-launch has been shit. So much hasn't working, the servers are unstable and now when I woke up only 3 servers are up.
I'm kind of disappointed (with only pre-launch, GW2 is amazing) but I guess that's the way it is with MMORPG.
