The only problem I have with the recent generations is the fact that there's always a few pokemon that are just un-creative and terrible. It's strange how bi-polar the newer games are with design. take a pokemon like vanillish. come on. what the hell is that? an ice cream pokemon? that doesn't even make sense! but then there's others that are really cool and creative.

Anybody else notice that vote-wise the options are in perfect order?

yeah man, what's up with that? 1st gen was definitely the most original as far as designs go[/sarcasm]

but yeah i'll agree on the ice cream cone one. it's the only one i don't exactly get, but the point was for the games to appeal to their age group, and they did. very much so if i might add. kids love ice cream.

I wonder if people are saying Johto because they believe it also means Kanto as well?

Anyhow, I said Hoenn, since I liked the colourful and vibrant environment, it was a nice mix of 16 cities, and interesting ways to go through and enter most of them.

Music was good too.

My first video game ever was the original pokemon but my favorite generation was 3 because it holds my favorite pokemon ever being the treeko evolutionary line and it was so much different. Also I thought all of the designs of the pokemon themselves were really interesting and fun to look at

GENERATION 3! It's pretty awesome y' know, with the Rayquasa and Deoxys and jirachi and all... I mean don't get me wrong here, I love gen. 1 and 2,3,4, and, yes, even 5 but 3 left the deepest impression. Also this poll left out Fiorre, and the regions from the other rangers, along with the new conquest region. those were kind of crappy but, hey, on man's pile of crap is another man's pile of slightly prettier crap.

Am I the only one who finds it hilarious that all of them (disculuding Orre) are in generation order?

RE: Favorite Pokemon Generation? - dop - 06-29-2012 02:14 PM

I find it hilarious how mystified people are by the fact they were entered in the order! Tongue

My favorite is the first generation, and I think the third and fourth pairs of games had a lot of gaudy design missteps afoot as far as the aesthetics of the pokemon go. Fifth has the best since the very first and second ones, I think.

No, I mean their standing in the poll. Kanto is in 1st, Johto in 2nd and so on.

I think gen V is pretty sweet, I'm always excited for new pokemon news The only moment I ever fell out of love with Pokemon was around the start of gen 3, and it's not like I turned my back on pokemon it's just something that fell off my radar for a minute. so I don't really have any attachments to those games are a number of the pokemon from that era, but around the start of gen IV I finally got a DS and my first game for the DS was Pearl and I instantly fell back into that place of Pokemon Love.

I like gen 2 the most. Mainly, I loved the story, and it has some of my favorite Pokemon in it. Gen 4 would be my second favorite. I enjoyed the story, and the Pokemon in it were pretty cool.

RE: Favorite Pokemon Generation? - Floobersman - 07-02-2012 01:39 AM

I picked Kanto cause I know that region by heart. But I would have to say Gen2 (Gold and Silver) are the best for the fact that not only do you explore the Johto region but you also explore the Kanto with is like having Red and Blue hard mode packaged with it!

RE: Favorite Pokemon Generation? - BumblebeeCody - 07-02-2012 02:05 AM

Sinnoh was the last generation I cared about, but Hoenn was the last generation of decently created Pokemon
