Miss Lady Kier Vs. Sega - Hexadecimal - 08-19-2012 02:30 AM I thought I'd take a shot at one; sorry if it's a waste of time. I thought a court battle that resulted from Space Channel 5's release might be a good one. I'd heard about awhile back, but here's the article that details the lawsuit: http://www.legalreader.com/blog/2006/9/25/lady-miss-kier-hammered-with-opponents-attorneys-fees.html Sega Japan contacted her to ask for permission to use Deee-Lite's songs to promote Space Channel 5, but Lady Kier wasn't interested and refused to let them use anything related to the band. When the game came out she felt that Ulala greatly resembled her and took Sega to court, Kier losing badly and ending up paying the fees. RE: Miss Lady Kier Vs.
