Am I the only fanny here that carries a shield? Sob.

No! I loved using shield. It was so satisfying to block hits from the opponent.

With dual weapons? Frek' YEAH! When you use a power attack, you 360 yourself and hit people with 4 sword slashes!

My combat strategy in Skyrim boils down to "hit it with your battle axe until it dies." Naturally, I get very annoyed when I encounter shield-bashing enemies.

There's an easy way to counter that. Just use the "Unrelenting Force" shout and as your enemies get flown out of the way, come to them and hit the frek' out of them. It works especially well in close spaces like houses.

I have observed that even though I keep weapons with myself I mostly get defended and I would like to say that I liked the idea given by Darthzorua, that if we keep a follower with us, then it will be easy for us to divert the attention of the dragons and probably we can then move further.

Would disarm work too? I know it works for weapons, but what about sheilds?

Usually I just hit it was a sword to rank the sword up, or with a bow to rank the bow up.

You know what I'm talking about.
