Hey all, here's a small chapter to begin this encounter
STORY[spoiler]“Let’s not do anything rash,” said Arjahn Mjakhim. “We don’t know if these people are friends or enemies. Haseo Katana, what have you to say on the matter?”
The question was only greeted by silence, punctuated by the regular hissing coming from the burrowers. Haseo Katana had disappeared.
“WELL HE SEEMS TO HAVE GONE,” shouted Alex Starfade. “I WILL NOW QUIETLY WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS.”
Zaliphone was confused by the situation and crouched behind Starfade, waiting to see what would happen next.
“What do you want?” demanded Mjakhim to the newcomers. “We’re not your enemies and we can ”
“LEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYY!” Mary Cow’s patience had cracked. Running up to one of the burrowers, she wrenched him from the ground and clouted him over the head.
“Sheesh,” sighed Zaliphone. “Looks like we’re going to have to stand and fight…”

TL;DR

[/spoiler]STORY[spoiler]Before anyone could move, Zaliphone ran into the fray, launching himself at the same burrower that Mary Cow had clouted over the head. His kick was strong, but deflected off the side of the enemy, slightly off target. The Apotheos staggered nonetheless, looking weakened.
Mary Cow, disregarding the battle completely, was still looking for Haseo Katana. “Where did he go? It’s not as if he just melted into the sand??”
Laughing softly to himself, the ex-policeman observed the fray from his hiding place. Strangely enough, only Zaliphone had attacked. “What a bizarre group of people…” The burrowers seized their chance and attacked.
The first attempted to slash Mary Cow, who was now trying to dig a hole in the sand to find Haseo Katana. Turning just in time, Moo’s lush beard deflected part of the blow. Two open wounds appeared on her arm, causing her to wince and fall to the ground.
The second burrower raised its rifle, aiming for Alex Starfade. The shot was expertly aimed, the bullet lodging itself in Starfade’s chest. He was blown back by the force of the projectile.
As the third burrower chose to attack Zaliphone, the latter picked up Starfade, raising him up like a human shield. The Apotheos’s claws entered both men, stabbing them in the arm. Blood was streaming down Starfade’s chest and arm, though that did not stop him from slapping Zaliphone for what he had just done.
The first strike had finished, but the battle was far from over…

TL;DR
[spoiler]Zaliphone attacks the already weakened burrower. Mary Cow searched for Haseo Katana and get's slashed by a burrower. Alex Starfade gets shot in the chest but his worries don't end there. Zaliphone, seeing he is going to be attacked, uses Alex Starfade as a human shield and both men get injured. Alex Starfade slaps Zaliphone.[/spoiler]

Alright, I'm going to use my martial arts capabilities to try and disarm the closest Burrower with a rifle. If I'm successful, shoot to kill.
