You're not missing anything. After reading over the Mario cover story in this month's GameInformer, I'm pretty damn excited to get a Wii U. Shame I'll be buying it in November and tucking it away until Santa brings it. RE: Wii-U - BumblebeeCody - 09-16-2012 11:20 AM (09-16-2012 09:30 AM)retrolinkx Wrote: Also I'd like to add one thing. Wouldn't surprise me if those butthurt people are crap at Bayonetta anyway. Most people that act elitist about Bayonetta (and DMC) have no idea how to play the game mash XXX YYY XX and consider themselves worthy to play the games anyway. Bayonetta 2 on WiiU just means they secured an awesome new game. Maxs video on it is hilarious. (He had to re-upload it due to his original video showing their faces. What's wrong with exposing whiny kids now). RE: Wii-U - Zaliphone - 09-16-2012 01:18 PM I don't get why some people don't think the WiiU is a real console. It's more powerful and innovative than the current gen. I guess some people really can't handle change. RE: Wii-U - TheRealJDawgz - 09-16-2012 01:22 PM Has anybody mentioned DS/3DS players for the Wii-U yet? I think that we're overdue for this kind of thing, and it's been done with the Gameboy and GBA. The touch screen controller would work nice and if you could switch fullscreen or split screen (both screens on the TV) I think it'd be a pretty good idea RE: Wii-U - Skarro - 09-16-2012 11:41 PM Wow that DS thing is pretty genius. People are just angry that niether Sony nor Microsoft thought of the idea first and they will probably brag that Sony and Microsoft has a better console than the wiiu when the next gen comes out(not the first time i seen it) .And the WiiU is making some pretty killer apps that next gen consoles well be pretty angry.I have full confidence on The WiiU and i won't probably get it on the Launch day but im pretty sure it will be in my room someday. Goes to show that Nintendo Is the REAL pioneer I just have one Question. Will there be any Rock Star Game on the WiiU??? RE: Wii-U - Lethal - 09-17-2012 02:32 AM Im getting pretty pissed off with people bashing on Nintendo these days anyways. The guys here and pretty much the majority of Nintendo character based pages on Facebook and their fans are the only loyal fans. Ive never judged Nintendo once except for their lousy decisions on the bigger screens on DS, but I didnt go: 'Bigger screens? Pfffft, thats not a Handheld Console'. The Wii U is probably going to be another step forward for Nintendo, as they seem to be the only company thats actually raising the bar. Yeh, the XBOX's Kinect wasnt a big hit, and its games are terrible and its hard to play but Its not raising the bar if its not doing well, like that 3D Gaming device back in the late/early 90's. The Wii was astounding if you ask me, I loved it, and the Sony's Move was just a cheap rip-off to me. People bash on the Wii for having a lack of good games but if you actually pry your ass off your ace you'll see theres WiiPoints to be spent, and many many classic games to play like Megaman and stuff. Of course the Wii U is a proper Console. Maybe it doesnt have the simplicity of buttons like Nintendo used to have but its a console, and if Bayonetta 2 is 'finally' coming out, be glad, buy a Wii U and pick up ZombiU and Tekken too. Nintendo have usually set the standard in the gaming from: Shoulder buttons, early use of polygons, online, analog sticks, rumble, motion controls and the other consoles have fed from this. It took Microsoft and Sony 6 years to try and move in the on Wii, but by that time, it was already old.Look at the WiiU, Microsoft and Sony have also started work on tablet functionality (Microsoft Glass). But because it's not a part of the console it won't catch on like the WiiU. Motions controls and tablet gaming on the Wii and WiiU are the consoles selling point and not an attachment like the Kinect/Move and Microsoft Glass stuff. Not that Nintendo hasn't fed from Microsoft and Sony with the WiiU. You can see how they looked at the Xbox and PS3 to add those working mechanics (online, controllers etc). Which is a good. RE: Wii-U - A Zombie Riot - 09-18-2012 03:24 AM Nintendo set the standard for online? LOLno. That credit goes to Microsoft. RE: Wii-U - Sirion - 09-18-2012 04:24 AM What's interesting about the people complaining about Bayonetta 2 is that those people already had an opinion on Wii U and already weren't willing to buy a Wii U, but none of them has given one single good argument to support their opinion. Bayonetta not only IS a console but a NEXT-GEN console. Even if Sega was to launch Bayonetta 2 with next-gen tech without an outside "convincing", we can only suppose they'd have to go to either Wii U or PC. Also, why they complain about Bayonetta and don't complain about many other game series that stretch to almost all available platform but rarely have a multiplatform game, like Kingdom Hearts? If I wanted to play all Kingdom Heats games, I'd need a PS2, a GBA, a PSP, a DS, a 3DS AND a phone! I didn't say set the standard, but the list was about what Nintendo had done first (or been ONE of the first to do). Online being one of points due to the SNES being able to go online. Personally I feel PC set the standard for online gaming back in the 90's anyway. RE: Wii-U - DidYouKnowGaming - 09-18-2012 12:17 PM Nintendo have actually done some crazy things with online before. I'd say they set a bench mark of some kind at least. The Satellaview is one example. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satellaview RE: Wii-U - retrolinkx - 09-18-2012 03:52 PM That was incredible when I read about it a few years ago, LTTP online and everything.
