RE: Collaberate on a game? - DHXIII - 07-04-2012 08:20 PM I use Photoshop CS4, Luckily PSD. format's can be opened with any version of Photoshop. I think this pretty much solidifies the fact that this games art will be made on Photoshop... RE: Collaberate on a game? - Ambizzle - 07-04-2012 11:53 PM As far as music goes I use Reaper as a DAW, I have plugins Reason 4, and Garriton symphony. I can produce in MIDI, Wav or Mp3, just whatever format you would want. I also have photoshop, although it is an older version. I think as long as everyone stays active we will not need a leader. RE: Collaberate on a game? - DHXIII - 07-05-2012 12:11 AM Well with music most software is compatible with standard formats such as Wav, and MP3 so really varying music software shouldn't hinder us at all. RE: Collaberate on a game? - DHXIII - 07-05-2012 02:56 AM Sorry to double post but I started on some concept art: RE: Collaberate on a game? - tokki - 07-05-2012 03:06 AM woah I accidentally read DYKG wrong for a second. |D awesome concept art by the way. RE: Collaberate on a game? - Ambizzle - 07-05-2012 03:41 AM Here are some quick Chip Tunes I made, they sound like retro NES. Let me know what you think, I could make something newer and updated, but I was just having fun! =] enjoy http://soundcloud.com/ambush72 Sorry, had to fix the link, you can also check my youtube page in earlier posts if you want to see what i can do with real instruments as well. RE: Collaberate on a game? - Nicknclank - 07-05-2012 04:19 AM DHXII: This art is awesome ^_^. We could use this kind of character for a "Monster Kill" level, where you would need to kill all the enemies to advance! Ambizzle: The music is very cool! We could use the "Level 1" song for a "Space Shooter", the "Level 2" for a "Monster Kill" and the last one for a calmer level. If I had one thing to change, I think I would make the "Level 2" song a little less... high sounding, and a little more powerful. Other then that, awesome ^_^ RE: Collaberate on a game? - Sohakmet - 07-05-2012 04:29 AM (07-05-2012 03:41 AM)Ambizzle Wrote: Here are some quick Chip Tunes I made, they sound like retro NES. I think that the only thing that bugs me is the sound of the chip tune. It doesn't sound too like the NES and it kinda bugs me a bit as there are many different types of chip tunes. RE: Collaberate on a game? - DHXIII - 07-05-2012 04:36 AM Thanks Nick! And yeah that could be cool! @Ambizzle: The tracks are pretty awesome, We should definitely use them in some way, I think you should try do a track that's longer. Also you should make another track and take as much time and effort as required because you stated you made those one's quickly and I'd imagine that if you spent more time on them they would be absolutely epic! Thanks for all the feedback, I did them all in midi, and I can play all the leads and stuff on guitar, so I can always convert those ideas into a classic symphony, or a rocking guitar track. They were mostly ideas, really the only one I like a lot is Track 3, but i made them short intentionally because like most old mega man and final fantasy games most tunes were 30 - 50 seconds and looped, I was staying true to the style. Thanks, I will compose more stuff when I can, I was lucky to be off work today to make some tunez. Just let me know what style to go with. Or i can just make a lot of differnt stuff too. Also could you try do a sort of progressive rock styled song similiar to this: Obviously you don't need to listen to me, Just making suggestions since you asked, But you have the freedom to anything since you seem to be very good at making music! RE: Collaberate on a game? - Arjahn - 07-05-2012 07:29 AM Holy crap, I post this idea, go away for 2 days and now it has nearly 90 replies, with this kind of community support I think that this could work Alright, from here I think we should get a little more organized, just to see exactly what we can do here. How's about everyone who wants to be involved make a reply with the following format: SKILL/S: What you can do to contribute to the project WORKS: If you have any examples or creations using the previously listed skill/s, link them here IDEAS: Any ideas or concepts for the game you have Just trying to see what we have to work with here, seems like we could use a programmer or two :/ RE: Collaberate on a game? - DHXIII - 07-05-2012 07:33 AM (07-05-2012 07:29 AM)Arjahn Wrote: Holy crap, I post this idea, go away for 2 days and now it has nearly 90 replies, with this kind of community support I think that this could workWell I think first order of business would be to correct the spelling of the thread since collaborate is spelt 'Collaborate' not 'Collaberate' RE: Collaberate on a game? - Nicknclank - 07-05-2012 07:34 AM Ooooook then! Skill: Story writing. Work: I WROTE A FREKIN' STORY! Idea: DID YOU READ MY FREKIN' STORY?! I can also help (a lot) for the organisation of pretty much everything. |
