I'm officially in a huge pickle right now.

So, on Tuesday, Hearthfire for Skyrim comes out. I really want that because I want to make my own house with everything I would want in it. ON TOP OF THAT, there's a 4-Pack of Linkin Park coming out on Rock Band that same exact day.

WHY DOES THIS WORLD HAVE TO BE SO CRUEL?!?!

Why can't people learn that sarcasm is extremely stupid to use on the internet? Especially when they say it's a sarcastic comment when there is absolutely no hint of sarcasm at all? My goodness, people are dumb.

Because sarcasm can TOTALLY come through words only and doesn't need all that noise we call pronunciation, even if it's not carefully worded.

Well, the thing, it's on facebook. So, there's no way of making even look like it's sarcasm. That's the problem.

So, here's what happened:

The black box is the status creator, the green box is me. Blue box is no one important. The main status was created because the profile was hacked (meaning, he left it open and someone just came in and posted that). Which I can totally tell, because I know all of those guys. Read his first comment. Does that even look like sarcasm?

There's a reason why I hate sarcasm on the internet. Because you have to make it painfully obvious that it's sarcastic. If you asked me in person if I have played Skyrim, I would make the sarcastic reply of "Oh, no, not at all." and there would be a sarcastic tone and you could easily tell it's sarcasm. It' so much harder to tell on the internet because you can't hear the tone of their words.

Yeah I get where you're coming from 'cause that doesn't look like sarcasm at all, but to be fair you can be sarcastic on anything as long as you take your time and word it carefully because...well, you have context, I mean as an example it took me like a good 6 minutes or so to make that last remark.

It is all about wording. And that's the problem many people have. They type what flows through their head and they think it's going to work perfectly on paper (or in this case, the world wide web).

Generally on the Internet (mainly forums) people use "/Sarcasm" as a means end the sarcasm post. It's a text based conversation what can you do? I know use Italics too.

On topic for a no direction thread.

What most annoyed me with that post, was he removed me because of it. I mean, him removing me wasn't a problem and doesn't bother me in the slightest. It's the reason for the removal that is just retarded.

Unless my sarcasm is painfully obvious (which is usually is) people shouldn't get confused with my comments. Because I know it's the internet and I know sarcasm is much harder to detect.

Wait just a second, let me read that again maybe I misread...nope I read that correctly he removed you because you answered his question which doesn't look sarcastic at all...while that's a retarded reason anyway this is the internet and you need to be very clear when you wanna be sarcastic, and he was not, so this is even more retarded than it would have been if the sarcasm was actually noticeable, well I have just been reassured that Facebook is still full of dumbasses and I will continue to not use it.

Well, I can confirm today that I have been denied moderator position on the Minecraft forums. To be honest, I would've been VERY surprised if I was accepted. It's kind of a relief that I was denied. I rarely post there.
