That game may have a better story and better characters, but gameplay wise, I liked Fallout 3 so much more. Oh, and the world in Fallout 3 is so much better than a freaking desert. I AM THE GARDNER OF THE MOJAVE! But in all seriousness, I prefer the gameplay and setting of NV over F3. The desert fits more with the whole post-apocalyptic thing, anyway. RE: Your latest Vidya game purchase. - A Zombie Riot - 02-04-2013 10:40 AM But... it's a desert. There's really nothing post-apocalypse-y about a desert. It's just that, a desert. It's dry and boring with pretty much nothing interesting to explore. And New Vegas (the actual "town") was a major disappointment. And the actual town of New Vegas was fun for me. I enjoy a little bit of virtual gambling every now and then. Which is "post-apocalypse" as you can get. RE: Your latest Vidya game purchase. - A Zombie Riot - 02-04-2013 11:09 AM A post-apocalyptic world isn't supposed to be empty with nothing there. A post-apocalyptic world is a world that was destroyed due to a nuclear war (or whatever caused all the nukes to drop) to make it a wasteland. The Mojave Wasteland is just a desert, basically. And New Vegas wasn't even in ruins, unlike Washington D.C and the Capital Building, to be exact. That's what made Fallout 3 so freaking special. RE: Your latest Vidya game purchase. - Psychospacecow - 02-04-2013 11:13 AM I don't know man. Ironsights make the difference. RE: Your latest Vidya game purchase. - Xannidel - 02-04-2013 11:13 AM Meh Fallout 3 was so boring for me, I actually felt really open in New Vegas. Plus the DLC was just so damn good. But to each their own, some people like NV and some like 3 and a lot of others prefer the original 2. And Fallout didn't need 'em at all. Hopefully Fallout 4 stays far away from it. What part of "I prefer New Vegas to Fallout 3" do you not get? You can enjoy Fallout 3 all you like. I'm not saying it's a bad game, 'cause it's not. I simply like New Vegas more, with it's story, characters, and slight gameplay changes. Plus, NV kinda ties into Fallout 1 and 2 a bit more than 3 did, so there's also that. RE: Your latest Vidya game purchase. - A Zombie Riot - 02-04-2013 11:20 AM 1) Drop the attitude. There's no reason to act the way you are. 2) I never once said your opinion is bad. I'm voicing my opinion and you're voicing yours. That's it. RE: Your latest Vidya game purchase. - Ouberry_13 - 02-04-2013 11:24 AM I didn't have an attitude. I just found it silly how you kept going when I outright said at the start I just like NV more. Kinda makes the whole conversation seem unnecessary. RE: Your latest Vidya game purchase. - A Zombie Riot - 02-04-2013 11:26 AM So, according to your logic, we can't just discuss the 2 games? Once you say "I like this more than this." The conversation is over? Please. *walks out* RE: Your latest Vidya game purchase. - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 02-04-2013 11:27 AM We're swerving off topic, folks. RE: Your latest Vidya game purchase. - Ouberry_13 - 02-04-2013 11:27 AM Also, being post-apocalyptic doesn't mean it has to look like a nuke just got dropped onto the place. It makes sense for DC to look the way it did, since most of the bombs did drop on the Eastern side of the US. The Western side only had radiation to deal with, not the actual explosions, which is why New Vegas the city looks the way it does. The Mojave is still a post-apocalyptic place, filled with mutated animals, Super Mutants, Nightkin, Ghouls, and whatever else is out there that I haven't seen yet.
