RE: Anyone else a fan of The Sims? - cingchris - 06-30-2012 08:43 AM I am, and I would also like to share a memory from The Sims: Bustin' out that I just remembered it's a bit of a long story but it's worth the read, here goes. One time on The Sims: Bustin' out me and my brother got on a co-op free-play world and lived in one of the pre-made houses (there were only two other people in this house). After living there for a bit we both decided that we wanted to get the one girl in the house to marry one of us so we both started getting up to 100 relationship status with her but it seems every time the CPU guy saw us flirting with her he would get super pissed and just be generally annoying. After achieving 100 relationship status we both asked her to marry one of us multiple times while getting rejected every time, we then realized that the other guy in the house was her husband and she was already taken...so naturally we added an edition on to the house with nothing in it then put him in there and then deleted the door to get him out of the way. We then proceed to continue asking her but all efforts were futile, and while all of this was going on her husband was in his room pissing and crapping his pants while being super depressed and dying multiple times of starvation just to be revived by the game. We eventually felt a little sorry for him so we stuck the crappiest bed, shower, toilet, and fridge in his room and because they were all crappy they would constantly break so he eventually got really good at fixing things. After all of this he would spend his day just fixing his stuff fulfilling his needs and if those things were done...he would just constantly cry because he had not talked to anyone since we locked him in there so we then felt sorry for him...and naturally we had a party and got some guests in his room and tried to lock them in there with him but the game didn't allow us to this so he went back into isolation. After the party we just decided to give him a phone so he could still have some social interaction so now when he had free time he would spend it on the phone but as soon as he got off we would start crying again because he was still depressed. Now bored with the world, me and my brother put wooden chairs everywhere in the house and one fireplace and removed the door to the house (after we both exited of course) and let the man out of his room and then had him light the fireplace then we watched the whole place burn and both of them die while we laughed. ...Are we terrible people? Edit: This is the Gamecube version by the way, that is how said co-op game is possible. RE: Anyone else a fan of The Sims? - Mr.Katana - 06-30-2012 10:48 AM I've been a fan of it, but haven't really played any of the games. Dunno which game I should start now. RE: Anyone else a fan of The Sims? - Andy - 06-30-2012 10:57 AM I use to always play the sims, but no so much now but I'd still say it was a good game, however I never had many freinds that liked the game. RE: Anyone else a fan of The Sims? - Merryberry - 06-30-2012 12:32 PM I love playing Sims! But only Sims 1 and 2. I have Sims 3 too but I don't like it as much as the others. But Sometimes I'm playing it. I started playing the Sims since release I was 10 years old when it was released in Germany and since then Im a huge fan of the series! RE: Anyone else a fan of The Sims? - SpecialUnitt - 07-01-2012 02:23 AM I enjoy the occasional play of The Sims, I only own Sims 3 but I prefer Sims 2, Sims 3 is okay just doesnt seem that different. I normally cant play The Sims for that long though because I find the Life cycle to be too short so I try to space it out. Dunno which game I should start now. If you're planning on starting TS3, but don't know which packs to get, just think about what you want in the game. For example, if you want it to be more family type stuff, I would get Generations and Pets. If you mostly like to build and buy, I would just get all the Stuff Packs. You can change the length of each life cycle in the options, or even just turn aging off completely RE: Anyone else a fan of The Sims? - Skarro - 07-02-2012 03:49 PM Animal Crossing > Sims WANNA FIGHT?! RE: Anyone else a fan of The Sims? - Sohakmet - 07-03-2012 11:17 PM I usesd to paly it when I had nothing else to do at the time, but the thing is that it's just not my type of game. It requires much patience to grow your Sims and it's just that you need to pay attention to them almost all the time that makes it tiring to me. And yes, I heard it was the last one, but don't have a credible source for that information. A lot of people are turned off of the game because of that reason. I mostly made this thread because I was curious if I was the only one that still plays. |
