I was talking to some of my mates tonight about the Olympics. Basically, the point was raised about how arbitrary the events are. There is an actual Olympic event which is "how high can you jump?"; not to mention several which are "how far can you throw a specific thing?".

What should be other Olympic events? My suggestion is torture. Whoever can stand the most wins.

I think there should be an event that is actually a skill that can be used in everyday situations, like for instance having the common courtesy to tell your whining kid to shut the hell up when you're in public places so everyone in your general vicinity can actually have some peace for once in public.

Hahahahaha I can imagine an event like that.

Ten parents on one side of the arena.
Their ten kids on the other.
The kids have just been fed an ungodly amount of sugar and been told that

The kids are then let loose around the arena with the promise that the first person to find the golden grain of sand will win a lifetime supply of sweeties.
The parents' task is to get the kids to take a nap on a wooden stool whilst the Pokémon theme tune is played from directly under it.

This, would be an epic event

I want this to happen now, we should all petition the Olympics committee to make this a real event just so we can all see this feat of amazing entertainment.

Oooooo, can we tell the kids that they also have to fight each other at the same time, to prevent the rest of them from finding this golden grain of sand? And everyone is blindfolded? And and and and and and.... :O

Baby tossing. A baby would be tossed to a pile of other babies. Some babies would have T-shirts with something written on them, if you hit one of those babies you get a special shot.
