Zelda Did You Knows? - retrolinkx - 08-17-2012 08:44 AM A bulk threads for Zelda submissions. DidYouKnowGaming Edit: This threads has been merged with others ------- If the player slashes a sign with their sword, pieces will fly off, if the player feels bad about what they have done, they can repair the sign by playing Zelda's Lullaby near it, once the song is finished, a theme similar to solving a puzzle plays, and the sign magically repairs itself. http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Zelda%27s_Lullaby Couldn't find a N64 version, but it still rings true. In Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, you must travel through a maze of caves which is called "Death Mountain". When you finish with this maze, you emerge into a small rectangular area to the south which has some interesting terrain and no discernible purpose. No dungeons or secret items appear here, except for the caves to the north where you acquire the hammer and the magic potion, which are called "Spectacle Rock" by some townspeople in the game. Look familiar? Take a look at this overhead view of the map from the first Legend of Zelda game, and see if you notice any similarities: This small area in Zelda 2 is obviously supposed to be an abbreviation of the map from Zelda 1. The cave in which you acquire the Hammer in Zelda 2 is the same cave where you rescued Zelda in Zelda 1. RE: The Legend of Zelda map appears in Zelda II - DrZaius - 08-19-2012 08:00 AM I like this one. RE: The Legend of Zelda map appears in Zelda II - Scormac - 08-20-2012 01:02 AM Well it is suposed to be the same world RE: Zelda's Lullaby the healing song. - Sohakmet - 08-20-2012 09:54 PM (08-17-2012 09:58 AM)Scormac Wrote:(08-17-2012 09:09 AM)BumblebeeCody Wrote: Signs have feelings too. They're just like you And me too. RE: Zelda's Lullaby the healing song. - retrolinkx - 08-30-2012 09:57 AM Did this even get seen, or is it well known? RE: Zelda's Lullaby the healing song. - DidYouKnowGaming - 08-30-2012 10:30 AM It's sort of well known, but it's still cool. I'm going to go through the entire backlog on the forum soon with some friends so I can get a better understanding of what people will find interesting and sort out the submissions. Zelda: Link's Awakening names. - retrolinkx - 09-01-2012 08:48 AM This was the first easter egg I found too. In the original, and remake of Link's Awakening for the Game Boy if the player makes their characters name Zelda, they get a remixed version of the main theme I believe. RE: Zelda: Link's Awakening names. - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 09-01-2012 04:11 PM One of my favourite games ever, so I approve of this Also, THIEF !! (though I had "VOYOU" because I was playing in French) RE: Zelda: Link's Awakening names. - BumblebeeCody - 09-01-2012 07:31 PM This also works in Zelda 1 if you change your name to ZELDA. This starts up Quest 2 and changes the layout of dungeons and items. RE: Zelda: Link's Awakening names. - Moriatti - 09-02-2012 09:54 AM I thought only Marin called you THIEF. However, it's been a while since I've played the game. Also, if you go back into the shop, the owner will just shoot you with a laser gun. ALSO, ALSO, Wart from Super Mario Bros 2/Doki Doki Panic makes a cameo during a trade sequence in that game. This is one of the earliest hints that the player is in a Dream World, as Wart's only other appearance was as the final boss of SMB2, which took place in a dream. Yeah, but only once so it's not too bad, you can go shopping the next time you enter his store |
