Ahaha, I loved this game as a young'un. I remember reading something about Fake Crash; Apparently he was a big part of Crash's ad campaigns in Japan, and ended up being really popular. They hid him in a few of the Japanese Crash games.
Gotta love Fake Crash. I hated how he wasn't in the American version of this game for some reason. He's based off a bootlegged plushie an employee at Naughty Dog bought in Chinatown. The company used it as a joke at first but thought it would be cool to have him in the background of Crash Bandicoot Warped. Than they made him a racer in CTR and eventually he would become an official villain in N-Tranced for the GBA. In the story when N. Tropy attempts to gather Crash, Coco, and Crunch to brainwash them, he only Grabs Coco and Crunch and only a portion of Crash which turns into Fake Crash. He looks the same as before but now has green jeans. His fight is a mirror battle where you have to simply trick him into stepping on a trap by moving over them yourself when there not active. An easy concept but confusing to play in practice. At the end of the game Fake Crash helps Crash defeat N-Trance and supposedly becomes an ally and has made several other appearances in other Crash spinoff games.
