I'm not talking about mini-game type games here, like Mario Party or whatever. What are your favourite games within games? Me, I'm a sucker for poker. I spent WAY too much time playing it in Red Dead Redemption, and I got banned from gambling in Fallout New Vegas.
Dead Rising 2 poker is pretty fun.
In GTA 4 there's a game called Qub3d. I spent a long time trying to get a high score that. Pretty fun.
In No More Heroes there's a game called Bizarre Jelly 5. Pretty awesome Shmmp
If there exist fishing as a mini-game I will probably waste a couple of hours there.
All the arcade games in Shenmue for the Dreamcast those games ate up all my free time in that game.

Also the one in Link's Awakening. Spent hours trying to get that big fish at the bottom and HELL YEAH I got it.
I spent quite a bit of time playing poker against Luigi in New Super Mario Bros.
I also played quite a bit of My Blaster Runs Hot in R&CF: Crack in Time.
Hours and hours spent fishing in OoT.

there was a snake clone in timesplitters 2 that was pretty addictive.
