I think a lot of people know this, but the biggest map in any video game is in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall.
It's the bottom right, sorry I couldn't find one that shows it just by itself, regardless it's still shocking.
It is about 60,000 square miles, biggest map there is, it's so big that there isn't a top down map for it, and it can take up to 10 hours to walk from one city to another.
However the map itself is generated, meaning very little of it was designed, apart from known locations.
