Beardy

I love The Godfather (the film, not the book). It's an absolute masterclass. Everything about it is amazing. It's exactly what a film should be. I also love The Evil Dead 2. It's a silly, chaotic mess. Everything about it is amazing. It's exactly what a film should be.

Do you reckon there's a conflict between Cannonball Run and Citizen Kane?

Don't limit yourself to films here, games, books... whatever.
I'm not sure what this thread is about. What does "Highbrow vs lowbrow" mean?
I came to this thread thinking that we'd be comparing Eyebrow positions. I am disappointed.
Highbrow is something on a more intellectual level than lowbrow from what I know.

I love me a Voltaire but I also love me a Pokémon episode !
I think that both highbrow and lowbrow can be entertaining. Otherwise youtube wouldn't exist Big Grin

It's term for smugness.

Highbrow would be on the lines of:
Oh I love Citizen Kane because it's a complete master piece. Great screening writing blah blah. I truly understand the intricate film making. Requires the viewer to think about what they are watching

Lowbrow would be on the lines of:
I love Kung Pow because it's completely stupid with nonsensical fights and toilet humour that a typical un-educated person might find funny.
Requires the viewer to watch something silly and laugh

One for example for me is that I love the art piece "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte". (HighBrow)
But I also love the tattoo industry and some of the pieces of work I've seen. Tattoos are "art" that those posh people would look down upon.
