Alright, I think a lot of us can agree that this forum is lacking in the emoticon department.So I came up with this pretty fun thing we can do as a community.

What I was thinking is that if any of you are up to it, you could create some fresh emoticons for us all!

I'm keeping the rules simple. Nothing offensive, racist or rude. Keep in mind not to make them HUGE. They're just emoticons afterall. Keep them around 20px to be safe.

Now show me the goods!

Not sure if this link will work here (it might tell you that you need to be logged in) but GatorAIDS has a bunch of video game-related ones that we've slowly collected in the 8 years that the community has existed across 2 domain names.

A lot of them are in-joke related, though. (Like everything in the "Formerly Miniclip's" category, :mcf:, :realmetal:, :gawe:, and :pinappleswater:.

Sure go for it. About 2 dozen of them were made by either me or someone from the site (not counting the obvious alligator theme emotes). Some of them are pretty generic or self-explanatory (like the Psyduck, the ? block, etc) but if you're curious as to the back story with any of the other ones feel free to ask. XD

Now I just wish "GatorAIDS' 1.0" site was still around because we had over a hundred random emotes there, most of which required pretty stupidly specific circumstances to be used, haha.

Maybe have some emoticons that are relevent to video games (eg. pokéball for Pokémon, logos of other games that are recognisable at 20px) ?

Those were the kind of emoticons I hoped would turn up. CFMM provided some through his URL that was pretty nice.

I remember DidYouKnowGaming is really good with sprite design, maybe he could fix us up a few personal DYKG ones.


As for some Pokémon ones, the original gameboy sprites are probably available somewhere and would be small enough to use

He's a busy man and I also wanted to do this as a fun community thing.
