Beardy

Top work, that man. Congratulations.
Thank you, nothing serious but I am pretty sure that we are both thinking along the same lines here.

So...not to butt in, but let me butt in.

Anyway, so I assume this thread isn't just about romantic relationships, but all relationships, and relationships in general. So I will give my story or whatever. Well, I guess it's not meant to be, but maybe you can help out somehow anyway.

I had this friend. She was a really good friend of mine (we could talk, and did talk about everything). We were open and honest with each other. I met her at camp (Christian camp to be precise). Anywayhoo, so she lived kind of far away (like an hour) so we didn't get to hang out or see each other too often. But when we did, it was cool n' whatever. Now, since we were open, she knew I liked her (not to say I had no problem with us just being friends. I didn't at all.) Anyway, so we were friends for probably 3 years, and then she went away to college in Tennessee (which is far from Florida, which is where we live(d)). And now, for some unknown reason, it's like she doesn't want anything to do with me. She won't talk to me at all. It's like she couldn't care less about me, like she doesn't even know me or something like that. I should mention that she is still a Christian and I am an atheist. But this didn't ruin our relationship. We were always honest with each other, and even after I told her I was an atheist we were still great friends (this was also a while before she went off to college in Tennessee.) Anyway, I dunno what the deal is. I miss her, and she's just like gone, out of my life like that.

Thoughts? (If you're not clear on anything, just ask, I'll try to explain better.)

Another note: I do think, if not still, at one point I was in love with her. But I was never weird or awkward about this or anything like that. So don't get the wrong impression. This factor wouldn't have ruined the relationship.
Ah. I really need to get this out. Single is me.

So, there's this (obviously) hot girl who I'm interested in who I have known for something like 2 years, and we're great friends. Thing is, I'm not so "brave" with relationships. I'm not old, but i'm a freshman. I don't want to get into an early relationship, as those almost always end. We both play the same instrumental group in band, we're both really smart, and we're both really weird. I think its a nice match, but AMWKTJWLRITJHLIWARHTNLIAWRYHLIWARNGLIWANGLIAWNRLGINWALTINGAWLEIGNLIWAENG What happens if she breaks my heart? I'm so confused on what to do.

Please tell me if I am missing something, I did just wake up mind you, so I do not want to say anything until I get the facts straight.

Oh, no, that's not the case at all. I broke up with her because she lied straight to my face about the ring. If she told me she didn't like it because it turned her finger green, we probably would've been together still (for who knows how long, though). But I hate lying. With a passion. ESPECIALLY when it's to my face and other people had to tell me the truth.

One possibility that comes to mind is that she might have found someone else in TN? Maybe her parents found out you are an atheist and they got strict on her?

Either way if she does not wanna talk to you then that is her loss man, no need to feel too bad about it because that shit happens to the best of us and all we can do is shrug and hope he/she will be alright.

Freshman in high school? There is a Big Bang Theory reference I will bring out. When Leonard asked Penny out (don't worry if you do not care about the BBT) Sheldon gave them both the same piece of advice. Schrodinger's Cat; essentially what this means is that your feelings for her could be considered dead or alive but only by trying can you really tell.

But as always there are repercussions to doing this such as things would get awkward when you two hung out with your friends or if you two did break up then that would be bad as well but relationships are always pretty fickle and random around that time of our lives. My advice is this, take her out on a date (you don't even have to call it that) and just enjoy your time together and if sparks fly then sparks fly and if not well then you two can still hang out and be cool.
Well, since, I talked to her and let her know how I felt, and she helped clear things up a bit. She basically said she was busy and that she was sorry.

No, I don't think you understand. We were friends. We weren't dating. So it wouldn't mattter if she met someone in TN

Well, to start, that wouldn't matter. Also, she's 19, she doesn't really have to listen to her parents. And her parents are cool, so no.

Well, of course I'd feel bad about it. I'd be losing someone I love.
I know plenty of people who lost friends (not girlfriends or boyfriends but just guy/girl friends) because they found someone who was REALLY insecure with themselves and made them ditch their opposite sex friends.
But I am glad you two did talk now.
I'm in a complicated situation where I've met a girl, but will never care to get in a relationship because she lives too far away. When we're together IRL everything it awesome, but once it hits online.. Shit hits the fan. I don't know why.
I do not mean to pry into this but can you give us an example as to what "shit hits the fan" means? I do know the saying but you could mean it in a different way so I gotta ask.

We piss eachother off all the time for a lot of different stupid shit. Not too long ago we got into a way too big of a fight because she said Pixar movies was for kids. I didn't care so much about it, but we always fire eachother up when we get into fights. Ugh.
You two probably just miss each other and talking online is never the same then talking in real life. Fights like the one you mentioned is best to just nod and agree but secretly you don't care because you two have different opinions.

That sounds kind of unhealthy and dishonest.Confused
Well think of it this way, would you rather argue over something silly like whether Pixar is meant for kids or not or would you just agree with her and end the argument before it starts up and gets everyone stressed out?
