Yup, I've played so much of the Dooms I have the games memorized. I've beaten them on nightmare, once, but I have. Otherwise I run through on "Ultraviolence" like its nothing. (Nightmare IS ultraviolence, Just the monsters respawn after a minute or so.)

I've played that game way too much.

How...HOW can you get good at Mega Man games? They're like Contra hard. I could never manage to master them because I'd get annoyed too quickly.
They are most certainly NOT Contra hard, I beat Megaman 2 on my second try I don't even remember how many times it took for me to learn Contra (On a side not Super Contra/ Probotector was much easier than the NES games).
Skyrim, definitely. Though to be fair, I exploited the smithing and got some pimp armour from the get-go.
And the Professor Layton series - I like me the puzzle games Smile
Yoshi's Island, Bioshock, Brawl and Sonic R.
Fallout 3.... when the nuclear apocalypse happens I'll be ready

and Banjo Tooie

Classic Mega Man games are not THAT difficult. Sure, there might be a boss you get stuck on once in awhile *cough*yellowdevil*cough*, but in the end it's about learning patterns. The stage design is so great that you usually make huge progress for each time you try so it's the kind of game where you can sit and die over and over again without getting too mad.

Contra is hard as hell though.. I don't have the reflexes for those games.

Funny thing is that i'm good at Contra but suck at Megaman classic.

THANK YOU. I thought I was the only one.
Metal Gear Solid series represent! I pride myself in getting almost all of the end game collectibles and such. But unfortunately I lost it all whenever all of my consoles just pooped out on me.
Mortal Kombat
EA MMA
FIFA
Smackdown vs Raw (or WWE-whichever-year-it-is)
Shadow Of The Colossus
Mario Kart
Theme Hospital
Sorry to bump, fantastic thread!

For me, I would bet anything on a few rounds of Mortal Kombat, especially Mortal Kombat II.

Other games that I feel I've personally "mastered" over the years:
-Street Fighter II (and its various incarnations)
-Mega Man X
-Contra, Super C, and Alien Wars (I'm a contra veteran ; ) )
-The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past (I can run-through and get 100% all items, upgrades, heart containers, etc in like 5-6 hours)
-The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
-ToeJam and Earl Panic on Funkotron (Genesis)
Super Smash Bros (all of them, only met one person thats better than me, couple people on the same level)
Luigi's Mansion
Sonic Adventure 2
Mario 3D Land (First 8 worlds)
and Mario Kart, but only somewhat
