The first time I played a pokemon game, I wasn't very good at it. I tried to grind, but was far too lazy.
Then my friend gave me a overleveled pokemon and I tore through the game.
What I'm ashamed of though, was leaving my starter to sit in the PC and collect dust.
What can I say? I like the little critters. And I really regret just forgetting my starter.
That said, what gaming moments are you most ashamed of having?
My first time playing pokemon too,i catched i Pikachu and he
was sent to the PC.However i don't know how to use because
i that time i don't know english well.So i thinked i losted the Pikachu
somehow and catched other.Only much before i learned how to use
the PC and now i think "Oh God,WHY?"
At a very early stage in Kingdom Heats 1 you meet this huge black panther (or something like that) as a boss in the Hercules world. I couldn't defeat him or wasn't even close to doing it.

FML.

I'm surprised the overleveled Pokémon listened to your orders during battles.

Well, it was a Pokemon I originally caught that I then gave to that friend, so when I got it back it listened to all my orders.
Can't really think of anything major. I think anything that comes close was with Mass Effect 3.
So stupid
Kingdom Hearts 2 when you can fight Sepiroth at the end as a side-boss, but couldn't do it even though I grinded Sora to a high level for a hour or 2.
When you play Baldurs Gate 2 you can have an NSC in the party thats an Avariel (a species with wings) who was hold in a cage in a circus for most of her life and hat her wings cut off because they had started to rot.

Shes one of the characters you can have a romantic subplot with , and if you dont get her to accept that she has to face the future and cant cry about her lost wings forever she will in the end use a spell to turn into a small singing bird. well , that happend in my first playtrough and i lost the NSC and couldent see the end of the romance.

I regret that I (ME3)
I tried using the Fan o War in a serious TF2 tournament and let down my team.
I regret selling the Toy Story 2 Nintendo 64 game. It was surprisingly a load of fun, but I sold it when I was about eight for reasons I can't even remember.
Back when I was jus' a young laddy, I started out playing FFVII in the wee hours of the morn'. I played until the sun didn't shine, making it to the end of the first disc. I didn't have a memory card though, and I wasn't nearly as bright as the screen of the t.v. in the dark living room, and I tried to change the disc without having a save file.
Getting an unexpected outcome in the Walking Dead game and then seeing things come apart.
