well yeah the words she used are kind of off, but we all understood what she actually meant so we just went with it. not all of us want to argue on the internet, it's better to just be FRIENDLY FRIENDS~

I was going to call pleonasm on "friendly friends" but then I realised some of mine are "facebook friends" that I just keep in my friend list as a "what not to do with your life" guide.
i wasn't seriously using friendly as a descriptive word for "friends," but okay lol
Pffft FRIENDLYFRIENDS WITH A BUNCH A NERDS!!! *Kick sandcastle sand in face* *Continue to wear sunglasses*
I am a guy! However, I am happy to see a large quantity of females considering the last forum I actively posted on had one girl and eventually that girl turned out to be a guy...

I hope desperate and pathetic nature of some internet surfers doesn't linger into this forum because as 'Nuu' said it's pretty embarrassing and it gives men a bad name.

What, she like eventually morphed into a dude? Like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park?
Check it out, a topic that's really dumb and went off topic. Doesn't matter what gender people are on a forum. It really, really doesn't matter. Unless it's consequential to the discussion at hand, of course. And even then, there's a field in your profile for that information.
woah dude chillax, this topic isn't hurting anyone. yeah it went off topic for a bit, and it's probably out of discussion value, but there's no need to hate

Aha, Probably could have worded my post better.
It was a guy pretending to be a girl - Still it's equally as creepy as the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park Tongue

Over the months, she started developing a neck-beard. Over the years, her voice got deeper until she started blastin' bass from the vocal chords. Over the decenies, she started to make arrow to the knee jokes. The worst thing was, no-one even noticed until it was too late.
Never Forget.

Not hating, just stating. I don't differentiate a discussion on a message board by what's in somebody's pants. All things considered, I don't consider what's in somebody's pants in anything besides... Well, I'm sure we can guess.

Harmless discussion point, sure. Still just seems like asking "Who likes the colour purple?" - at the end of the day, the results mean nothing.

Some people like to know if there are other people similar to them for comfort sake or whatever the reason may be sometimes. Additionally, there also isnt a gender sign in the side user info on each post.

Youre making yourself look like an ass.

I'd say gender is actually a pretty big issue for plenty of people. Not in a pervy way, either, I just mean as part of their identity. Anyways, seeing as the entire point of this sub-forum is to "just shoot the breeze" I don't see a problem myself.

us stating that we're female isn't changing how people treat us, as far as we can tell. everyone is still acting and replying the same as they would.

the same can be said for topics like "what's your favorite game?" "what's your least favorite game?" "what's your favorite pokemon?" they're generic topics used to get a feel of what a member is like, and pretty common, especially in a forum that just started. no one's said anything about those topics (albeit because it's a gaming forum), but if i were to, i would get the same reaction you're getting now. it's best to just leave it be and let the members take care of it. the more you take from them, the more unhappy they'll be and they'll leave. we get a shitload of activity, but every visit, every click counts. let them have their topics, and you could aid them by just going along with it and posting.
Sure, it's my opinion that this is a pointless discussion. There's no discussion that can be had besides the one we're actually having right now - the other points of favourite games and such there's the discussion of why they're good. You can say you're a woman because that's just how you're born. There's no debate, it just a fact of who you are.

I'm not going to deny them their option to the topic, I'm not closing it. I'm just stating my opinion on the discussion and how it's pointless. I perhaps stated it as more factual that opinionated, but I'm just putting it out there that nobody should care if you're M or F. Brings nothing to the table, and people shouldn't feel uncomfortable if they are X or Y, and if they do then I'd hope that's nothing involved in the forum and rather them personally, as that's something which would perhaps be involved in prior experiences.
Which I doubt we could assist in.
